IRA Charitable Rollover

Donors who are 70½ years old may transfer up to $100,000 every year from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualified charity such as CCH without having to recognize the distribution as income.

Please seek the advice of your financial advisor to determine whether an IRA Charitable Rollover is the appropriate vehicle for your charitable giving.

RESIDENT CARE FUND (RCF)

The Resident Care Fund (RCF) is a life saver for seniors in the midst of a personal crisis by providing a one-time gift of support. Sometimes residents are devastated by unexpected life events like a missed check, flat tire, accidental slip or other medical emergency. Community members facing critical needs could use a helping hand for items such as food, medicine, transportation, support care, medical services or supplies.

Consider donating to the RCF and helping provide a one-time monetary gift to a senior when help is needed the most.

Other Ways to Make Tax-Deductible Donations to CCH Funds

Donate appreciated stocks and securities – tax wise giving of appreciated stocks. Save on capital gains taxes. For account transfer information, call (510) 632-6712.

Designate CCH as a beneficiary of a portion of your IRA, 401 (k), or 403 (b) plan.

Include CCH in your will or other estate plans. Designate a set amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder when all other obligations are met.

Consider real estate. CCH will consider on a case-by-case basis the donation of property and fixed assets.

Paid up life insurance – policies no longer needed for the original intent can be donated to CCH.
