IRA Charitable Rollover

Donors who are 70½ years old may transfer up to $100,000 every year from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualified charity such as CCH without having to recognize the distribution as income.

Please seek the advice of your financial advisor to determine whether an IRA Charitable Rollover is the appropriate vehicle for your charitable giving.

The Resident Care Fund is a safety net for residents dealing with critical needs like food insecurity.

The average CCH resident is 76 years old and earns about $1,400 a month — and many earn even less. While their rent is deeply affordable, seniors living on such a limited income are under unprecedented pressure as grocery prices and healthcare costs continue to rise.

Other Ways to Make Tax-Deductible Donations to CCH Funds

Donate appreciated stocks and securities – tax wise giving of appreciated stocks. Save on capital gains taxes. For account transfer information, call (510) 632-6712.

Designate CCH as a beneficiary of a portion of your IRA, 401 (k), or 403 (b) plan.

Include CCH in your will or other estate plans. Designate a set amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder when all other obligations are met.

Consider real estate. CCH will consider on a case-by-case basis the donation of property and fixed assets.

Paid up life insurance – policies no longer needed for the original intent can be donated to CCH.
